DEPRESSION & ANXIETY CARE

Depression and anxiety treatment in Redlands and across California

Care with Fady Boules, PMHNP-BC — a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Depression and anxiety aren't a weakness, and they aren't something you can just push through by trying harder. They're real, treatable medical conditions—and living with them, day after day, is exhausting in a way that's genuinely hard to put into words.

Maybe the color has drained out of things you used to enjoy. Maybe your mind won't stop running worst-case scenarios. Maybe it's both at once, feeding off each other. Whatever it looks like for you, you don't have to keep white-knuckling your way through it alone.

If you are in crisis right now, please don't wait for a callback. Call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (free, 24/7), text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line, or go to your nearest emergency room. If someone's life is in immediate danger, call 911.

Here in the Inland Empire—in person at our Redlands psychiatric office, or by secure telepsychiatry from anywhere in California—we take the time to understand what's actually going on, rule out other causes, and build a personalized treatment plan that helps you feel like yourself again.

Symptoms of depression & anxiety

Is this what you're experiencing?

Depression and anxiety rarely announce themselves all at once. More often, they show up as a slow grind that colors everything. Does any of this sound familiar?

The Flat Line
The things that used to bring you joy—people, hobbies, the weekend—have gone flat, and you can't quite remember when that started.
Running on Empty
Getting through an ordinary day takes everything you have, and you're drained long before it's over.
The Worry Loop
Your mind runs worst-case scenarios on repeat, and no amount of logic seems to shut it off.
Background Dread
There's a low hum of unease most days, even when nothing is actually wrong.
The Body Keeps Score
A tight chest, a racing heart, a stomach in knots—the anxiety shows up physically before you've even put a name to it.
Restless Nights
Sleep won't come, won't stay, or never quite feels like real rest.

If several of these feel familiar, it's worth having an honest conversation. Depression and anxiety often travel together, and they can overlap with other conditions. Part of a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation is sorting out what's really driving how you feel, so the treatment plan actually fits.

Getting started

How our care works

  1. Start with a free call

Start with a free 15-minute call. No pressure, no commitment, and no clinical jargon—just a chance to say what's going on and hear whether this psychiatry practice is the right fit.

  2. A thorough first visit

In our Redlands clinic or by secure video anywhere in California, we take our time. We take a careful clinical history, have a real conversation about what you're living with day to day, and get a clear picture of what's going on. You leave with a concrete, actionable treatment plan.

  3. Ongoing care that adjusts to you

If anxiety or depression medication is part of the plan, we choose it carefully and fine-tune it based on exactly how you respond. We check in, adjust, and provide ongoing medication management until you feel steadier and more like yourself.

Common questions

Questions patients ask

Are you a psychiatrist?

No—and it's a fair thing to ask. Your care here is provided by Fady Boules, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an MD or DO). A PMHNP is an advanced-practice provider who specializes in mental health—trained and licensed to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications. Different training, same goal: careful, thorough psychiatric care.

Do you accept IEHP or Medi-Cal?

Yes—we actively accept both IEHP and Medi-Cal for patients in the Inland Empire and across California. If you are a self-pay patient, care is a straightforward $175 for the initial psychiatric evaluation and $75 for follow-up appointments.

How fast can I be seen?

Most new patients are scheduled and seen within the same week, either in person at our Redlands office or by secure video appointment anywhere in California.

Can depression and anxiety care be done by video (telehealth)?

Yes—for most people, psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care work incredibly well via telepsychiatry across California. A few medications carry specific rules about how they can be prescribed by video, and we'll walk you through anything that applies to your specific treatment plan.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No referral is needed to get started. You can begin with a free 15-minute call, or request a callback and our office will reach out directly.
