MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Psychiatric medication management in Redlands and across California

Care with Fady Boules, PMHNP-BC — a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Finding the right psychiatric medication—and actually getting it dialed in—can be the difference between just getting by and feeling like yourself again. But too often, medication management means a rushed refill, a prescriber who doesn't quite listen, or a plan that hasn't been touched in years.

That's not how it should work. Whether you're starting fresh, transferring your care, or stuck on something that isn't quite working, you deserve a provider who takes the time to understand you and adjusts as you go.

CALL (909) 707-6261 →

Leave a message — a team member calls back within the hour, or request a callback.

If you are in crisis right now, please don't wait for a callback. Call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (free, 24/7), text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line, or go to your nearest emergency room. If someone's life is in immediate danger, call 911.

Here in the Inland Empire—in person at our Redlands office, or by secure telepsychiatry anywhere in California—we treat medication as a conversation, not a transaction.

We listen, we explain, and we fine-tune until it's working.

Who it's for

Is this you?

Medication management is right for a lot of different situations. This might be you if:

Starting Fresh
You're ready to try medication for the first time, and you want it done thoughtfully—by someone who explains every step.
Between Providers
Your previous prescriber retired, moved, or is no longer available, and you need someone to take over your care without a gap.
Stuck at "Good Enough"
You've been on the same medication for a while. It helps some—but you suspect it could be working better.
Fighting Side Effects
The medication helps, but the side effects have become their own problem, and no one's helped you find a better balance.
Beyond Primary Care
Your regular doctor started you on something, but you'd feel better with a mental-health specialist managing it.

If any of these sound like you, let's talk. Good medication management isn't handing over a prescription and moving on—it's an ongoing partnership that adjusts as your life and your needs change.

Getting started

How our medication management works

Getting your medication right shouldn't be a guessing game or a fight. Here's how we approach it. Every path starts the exact same way: a real, human conversation.

  1. Start with a free 15-minute call

No pressure, no commitment—just a chance to tell me what you're taking, what's working, what isn't, and hear whether this is the right fit.

  2. A thorough first visit

In our Redlands clinic or by secure video, we take a careful history—your diagnosis, what you've tried, how you've responded, and your goals. Then we build a medication plan together, and you leave understanding exactly what we're doing and why.

  3. Ongoing management that adjusts to you

This is where the real work happens. We monitor how you're responding, check in on side effects, and fine-tune over time—because bodies and lives change, and your plan should keep up. You're never just left on a prescription and forgotten.

Common questions

Questions patients ask

Are you a psychiatrist?

No—and it's a fair thing to ask. Your care here is provided by Fady Boules, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an MD or DO). A PMHNP is an advanced-practice provider who specializes in mental health—trained and licensed to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications. Different training, same goal: careful, thorough psychiatric care.

Can you take over the medications I’m already on?

In most cases, yes. At your first visit we'll review what you're taking and your full history, and continue or adjust your plan thoughtfully. For certain controlled medications there are specific federal and state rules and extra steps—and in some cases an in-person visit at our Redlands clinic first. We'll always be upfront about exactly what applies to you.

Do you accept IEHP or Medi-Cal?

Yes—we actively accept both IEHP and Medi-Cal for patients in the Inland Empire and across California. If you are a self-pay patient, care is a straightforward $175 for the initial psychiatric evaluation and $75 for follow-up appointments.

How fast can I be seen?

Most new patients are scheduled and seen within the same week, either in person at our Redlands office or by secure video appointment anywhere in California.

What if my current medication isn’t working?

That's exactly what we're here for. We'll look at what you're on, how you've responded, and what your options are—and adjust carefully until we find something that fits better. There is almost always more to try.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No referral is needed to get started. You can begin with a free 15-minute call, or request a callback and our office will reach out directly.
